PC Magazine Co-Locates 20th Annual Technical Excellence Awards With ShowStoppers

LAS VEGAS, Nov 21, 2003 -- Leading technology reporters, editors, columnists and industry analysts attended the 12th Annual ShowStoppers Press Reception this week at Comdex, which featured new products from more than 30 companies.

PC Magazine co-located the 20th annual Technical Excellence awards with ShowStoppers at the Venetian Hotel, and worked with ShowStoppers to make it easy for the media to attend both headline events, which highlight Comdex.

"Once again, ShowStoppers proves that companies can showcase new hardware, software, electronics and Internet products in one convenient evening showcase that attracts phenomenal media," said Steven J. Leon, co-founder of ShowStoppers, the oldest, continuously held evening press reception at Comdex. "We're already seeing tremendous coverage of our sponsors as a direct result of their exhibiting at ShowStoppers."

Reporters and editors from ABC, Business Week, C/Net, Dow Jones, eWeek, Forbes, InfoWorld, Network World, Newsweek, PC Magazine, PC World, San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News, Tech TV, USA Today, Wall Street Journal and ZD Net saw cutting-edge products from a stellar group of large and small companies.

Top industry analysts attended from organizations including IDC and Jupiter Research, as well as Amy Wohl, Tim Bajarin and Bobby Orbach.
