Hundreds of reporters, editors and columnists, ranging from ABC to BET, Associated Press to Bloomberg, USA Today to the New York Times, engadget to Martha Stewart Living Radio, plus industry and investment analysts, attended the special event, which showcased hi-tech products and services for work, home and play. Product introductions and sneak previews included, among others, a 3-D computer gaming system, Internet TV (IPTV), GPS navigation systems for wireless phones, how to check under the hood before you drive over the river and through the woods for holiday dinner, custom and snow-ready protection for iPods -- from CarMD, CardScan, Check Point/ZoneAlarm, Cisco-Linksys, CyberDefender, D-Link, FlapDaddy.com, H20 Audio, Honest Technology, ifrogz, iZ3D, Kingston Technology, McAfee, Paragon Software, Smith Micro Software, Sunbelt Software, TeleNav, VIA Technology and ZyXEL Communications. "This was a one-stop look at what's hot for the gift-giving season and fourth fiscal quarter, in time for reporters to get an early jump on coverage," said Steve Leon, founder and partner, ShowStoppers. The next two invitation-only events are ShowStoppers @ the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Jan. 8, 2007; and ShowStoppers @ CTIA Wireless, Mar. 27, 2007.
