tikitag builds your Internet of "things" by touch

press1.400.jpg

tikitag’s website and starter package enable you to make things smart and make the Internet accessible via a simple touch. E.g. linking an animal toy to the webcam feed of a zoo. tikitag’s starter package contains smart stickers that can be applied to things or places. When the sticker is brought near the tikitag USB reader, an action on the PC or Mac will be initiated. To set the action you want to happen for your stickers, 3 easy steps should be followed on the tikitag website:

a. Select the application
b. Customize the contents of the application (e.g. link)
c. Place the sticker on the USB reader and you are done. You just made your Internet of Things application.

tikitag comes with a range of predefined applications with which anyone can get started:

a. tikitag’s souvenir to photo application makes it easy to access online photos and albums on Picasa and Flickr via tangible items and makes photos stand-out in the Internet cloud.
b. tikitag’s Internet application enables e.g. parents to link their toddler’s toys to websites and videos, which provides children a magical, fun or educational experience.
c. tikitag’s music application lets you control iTunes (songs, playlists, web radios) in a intuitive way you never experienced before.

The tikitag starter package consists of 1 reader and 10 smart stickers and sells at 49,95$ via Amazon.com. This includes access to the tikitag website and to the tikitag applications. The tikitag applications are only limited by your imagination.
