Reporters rave about our food. But they come for the hot products, the cool companies, the companies they know, the companies they haven’t discovered yet. Innovators. Award-winners. From start-ups to industry leaders. Discoveries outside the usual newsbeats. Surprises you can see only at ShowStoppers. Breaking news. Sneak previews. Execs to interview. Want proof? Click here to see the press lists from years of ShowStoppers press events. How does the event work? ShowStoppers is a "walking" event fueled by a full dinner
buffet and premium open bars for all attendees. Journalists and
analysts arrive and visit the sponsors at their convenience, working
their way around the room. Sponsors arrive two to three hours before the
event begins to set up and grab a bite to eat.
You won't get lost in a crowd Here’s how we keep ShowStoppers intimate. To start, we organize the room by newsbeats and product categories, to help reporters find you according to what they cover. We are known for creating intimate events - scaled for conducting business. We always maintain a ratio between the number of demonstrating companies and journalists who attend, ensuring that you have many opportunities to meet the press. Are there different levels of sponsorship? We offer two sponsorship levels for this event: Standard and Deluxe. Standard sponsors receive a 2 meter long demo station, which comes with linen, signage, power, and high-speed Internet access, as well as flat-screen television (if ordered). Standard sponsors can bring a maximum of four company and/or PR agency representatives to the event. Deluxe sponsors receive two - 2 meter long demo tables, providing 4 meters of exhibit space, along with linen, signage, power and high-speed Internet access and flat-screen television (if ordered). In addition, Deluxe sponsors may bring a total of eight company and/or agency representatives to the event. A standard demonstration table costs $7,000 US. A deluxe demonstration table costs $11,000 US. We sweat the details Thinking about how to generate coverage for multiple clients? Or partner companies? We have a long history of working with PR agencies – and we can group clients and partner companies in the room, to help you work the room and meet the press -- without having to run a marathon. We don't draw attention away from you with distracting themes. We don't embarrass you with "booth bimbos." Ever notice that whenever you meet people, you do it standing up? We facilitate that process by raising our tables up from the floor. This means you're talking face to face. You're not bending over and turning your back on reporters all night when you demo products. Yes, your back will thank you. More important, you're looking reporters in the eye. Just as important, in the weeks leading up to ShowStoppers Barcelona, we hold your hand with clear instructions, with guidelines on how to contact the press, and we collect and distribute queries from reporters working on deadline. Qualified press and press lists We qualify the press. If a columnist writes for the Wall Street Journal, USA Today or Business Week, thats easy. But we do vet bylines and URLs. Like you, we want qualified press in the room, not just the biggest body count. ShowStoppers is the only press event that supplies you with press lists in advance of the event. In fact, we go one step further. When reporters register to attend, we also collect newsbeats, turning a mere press list into a remarkably powerful, useful PR tool that gives you the unique ability to identify the reporters most likely to cover your company or your clients. In advance. Want to see who attends ShowStoppers events? The list of reporters, editors, columnists, industry analysts and financial analysts includes, among others, AARP, Associated Press, Andrew Seybold Inc., Bloomberg, Business Week, CNET, Computerworld, Consumer Reports, engadget, eWeek, FierceWireless, Gizmodo, IDC, Laptop Magazine, Mobile Enterprise Magazine, MSNBC, the New York Times, PC Magazine, PC World, PhoneScoop, San Francisco Chronicle, Slashgear, Telephony, TheStreet.com, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, Wireless Week, ZDNet -- and many more. Click to see who we invite. Got your own list of press you want to invite? We’ll mesh it with out our database and make sure your targets are invited.> Is ShowStoppers associated with Mobile World Congress? No, we’re not.
ShowStoppers is an independent media event that is produced by and is
a Do we have to be an exhibitor at the tradeshow to participate? No. As an independent press event, we do not require you to exhibit on the tradeshow floor. What else does ShowStoppers do for me? ShowStoppers handles all the promotion, invitations, and RSVPs for the event. We invite top-tier press and analysts, drawing from our own media databases and years of experience identifying key press. Before the event, we regularly send you lists of pre-registered press, including name, address, phone number, email address and, most importantly, newsbeat information (if provided during their registration process), which you can then use to contact and make appointments to meet the press at ShowStoppers. We assemble your press kit on a USB memory stick which is given to each journalist and analyst that attends. Do I get to pick my location in the room? Yes. However, table assignments are done based upon a few "conditions." We organize the room by newsbeats, to help reporters find you. While we don't force you to be in a given area of the room, if your company produces GPS systems for vehicles, it makes sense for you to be in the Wireless Mobility section of the room. We then assign tables based upon the the following criteria:
