Is ShowStoppers for you?
Do you have a new product or service to introduce -- or sneak preview? Are you launching a new company? Do you want to meet the press? Do you need to meet the press?
ShowStoppers creates more opportunities for coverage of your company or your clients.
It's that simple. Really.
When and where is ShowStoppers?
Depends on the city where the event takes place. We always take the finest location for our events -- for example, the Wynn Hotel for our Las Vegas events.
Each event usually starts at 6 pm and runs two to four hours, depending upon how many journalists attend.
How does the event work?
ShowStoppers is both a relaxed reception and intensely-focused exposition. Journalists and analysts arrive and visit the sponsors at their convenience, working their way around the room, fueld by our full buffets and bars.
This is a very effective way for journalists to meet with companies and their representatives.
Are there different levels of sponsorship?
Yes. There are three sponsorship levels:
-
Mini - price: starting at $3,000
Included: 1/2 of a a shared table for demonstrations, complete with linen, signage, power.

What else does ShowStoppers do for me?
ShowStoppers handles all the promotion, press invitations, and RSVPs for the event.
ShowStoppers supplies you with press lists in advance of the event. In fact, we go one step further. When reporters register to attend, we also collect newsbeats, turning a mere press list into a remarkably powerful, useful PR tool that gives you the unique ability to identify the reporters most likely to cover your company or your clients. In advance.
Got your own list of press you want to invite? We’ll mesh it with out our database and make sure your targets are invited.
We assemble your press kit on a USB memory stick, which is given to each journalist and analyst that attends.
Qualified press
We qualify the press. If a columnist contributes to Chip, the BBC or the Wall Street Journal, USA Today or Business Week, that’s easy. But we do vette bylines and URLs, especially for bloggers, vloggers and podcasters.
Like you, we want qualified press in the room, not just the biggest body count.
All of which frees you to focus on the most important job of the evening – shaking hands with the qualified reporters and analysts looking for breaking news and compelling stories to cover.
Publications that we invite
ShowStoppers events are regularly attended by, among others, ABC, CBS, BBC, Bloomberg, CNN, NPR, the Wall Street Journal, This Old House Magazine, Business Week, Consumer Reports, engadget, Fortune, Forbes, Good Housekeeping, Into Tomorrow with Dave Graveline, Maxim, Money, Outlook 4Mobility, the New York Times, Rolling Stone, Stuff, USA Today, C/Net, Dow Jones, eWeek, IDC, InfoWorld, Jupiter Research, Network World, Newsweek, PC Magazine, PC World, San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News, USA Today and ZD Net.
Do you have your own list of press you want to invite? We will combine it with our database and make sure your target press are invited.
We go beyond the box
Thinking about how to generate coverage for multiple clients? We have a long history of working with PR agencies – for example, grouping clients in the ballroom, to help you work the room and meet the press.
Need to get a car into the room? We’ve done it. Which is how Ford demonstrated Sync with its partner companies Microsoft, Sirius, Sony and THX. And how Harman Becker demonstrated its mobile systems. And how Avis demonstrated a new GPS service and Autonet demonstrated its new mobile hotspot device.
In other words, we’re flexible, we’re creative. What’s your special request?
Is ShowStoppers associated with the trade shows?
With the exception of IFA -- NO. ShowStoppers is independent of any of the trade shows that take place at the same time as a ShowStoppers reception.
Do we have to be an exhibitor at the tradeshow to participate?
With the exception of IFA -- NO.
Do I get to pick my location in the room?
Yes. However we organize the room by newbeat, to help reporters find you. While we don't force you to be in a given area of the room, if your company produces GPS systems for vehicles, it makes sense for you to be in the Wireless Mobility section of the room.
The following criteria are used:
- Newsbeat and/or product category
- Priority is given to Deluxe sponsorship
- The date we receive your signed agreement
- One week prior to the event. If you have not yet picked your location, we assign your table.
What other opportunities are available?
Want a shot a global audience of consumer-electronics buyers? We can put you in contact with the producers of "Into Tomorrow," to explore the possibility of having an "Inside ShowStoppers" radio interview with host Dave Graveline during ShowStoppers.
