Samsung Galaxy Note vs Tab 7.7 vs Galaxy S II
SlashGear
This week at IFA 2011 in Berlin we’ve been given the opportunity have quite a few hands-on looks at products from a handful of vendors, but it’s the Samsung stand that’s got us most interested as their newest line of products are so very comparable to one another. This week revealed to us two brand new devices, that being the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and the Samsung Galaxy Note, the former being the next tablet device in the Galaxy Tab line, the latter being what Samsung is describing as the perfect half-way point between smartphone and tablet. Then there’s the Samsung Galaxy S II as it exists on the international market right this second. How do they all compare?

Turn Left at the Cloud
The Daily
Your car is turning into a gadget. The latest indication? The Ford Evos concept car unveiled yesterday at the IFA trade show in Berlin. This car is intelligent and cloud-connected. Designed as a sporty, sexy fastback (think hatchback with performance cojones), the Evos is just a concept and probably won’t ever see the light of day in its exact form. According to the designers and technologists who have collaborated on it during the past half decade, however, it’s a mashup of different features that will trickle down to real world Ford models in as little as four months, when the manufacturer plans to reveal a major new car to the world.

Samsung Teases For IFA, Glowing Handsets And Beautiful People
TechCrunch
Samsung has something big in store for IFA 2011 — but don’t they always. The company just unveiled two videos for its latest marketing campaign that, per the rules of Viral 101, do not show anything of interest. Still, IFA is Europe’s CES and they company is bound to have something newsworthy like a Galaxy II successor or a Galaxy Tab of the 7-inch variety.

HTC holding press event in September, we all know what that means
IntoMobile
HTC UK has just created a public event on Facebook (Jesus Christ, did we just write that?!) that will take place on the first of September, which coincidently is when IFA 2011, which bills itself as “the world’s largest trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances”, kicks off in Berlin. The event is titled “Join us to see what’s next“, so we’ll leave it to your imagination to figure out what that actually means. If we had to take a few guesses … we’d say we’ll see their first Android tablet, the successor to the Sensation, which we’ve been lead to believe is known internally as “Ruby”, and some possible updates to the midrange portfolio. We have huge doubts that we’ll see anything shown off running Ice Cream Sandwich since Google will likely want to control the marketing message of their new operating system. Oh and there’s also likely going to be countless demos of the new features that are bound to appear in the next version of Sense, which is good news if you’re in the small camp that actually likes it.

In related news, Samsung issued several teasers for the IFA event, and the folks at OLED-Display.net think we’re going to be treated to their second generation 7 inch tablet, likely to feature an AMOLED display. The funny thing is that whatever Samsung or HTC or anyone else announces at this show, people will forget about it the instant Apple announces whatever it intends to announce in September/October, likely the next generation iPhone and some new iPods. It’s sad, but true. Why companies attend huge conferences and announce a glut of products at the same time, flooding the inboxes of journalists all over the world, who will no doubt seek to prioritize their coverage with devices that fall into the “shit people will likely care about” category, is beyond us.nd! Facebook.com for event details.
