BERLIN, 12 Sept. 2016 – Breaking records for the ninth consecutive year, 80 industry leaders, innovators and start-up companies introduced new gear, gadgets, apps and devices for work, home and play to journalists attending ShowStoppers @ IFA 2016, the ninth-annual edition of the Official Press Event of IFA, the world’s leading tradeshow for consumer electronics and home appliances.
Nearly 1,000 journalists from more than 50 countries attended the landmark press event – approximately 200 more than the 2015 edition.
The 80 exhibitors represent a 12 percent year-over-year increase from ShowStoppers @ IFA 2015.

We definitely will join the next year event,” said Jacek Dziura, marketing manager at FIBARO Global, which introduced The Button, a wireless device that combines a simple design with power and functionality to control home automation systems with a simple click.
“Showstoppers was an amazing experience as we got to share the magic of the Slate 2 with top journalists,” said Lydie Roure and Maeva Revellin, marketing and communications for iSkn, a French startup that introduced the Slate 2 – a drawing pad that revolutionizes digital art.
“ShowStoppers was a great success for udoq,” said Marcus Kuchler, founder of udoq, which introduced the first worldwide patented universal docking station for mobile devices of any brand or generation — all smartphones, tablets, eReaders and music players. “Through the event we got into contact with so many journalists and we really appreciate the great feedback we got for our innovative universal docking station. We are looking forward to be mentioned in several reviews and articles.”
“We introduced the world’s first 4-in-1 Type-C external storage device — just at ShowStoppers — along with the PhotoFast ONE App,” said Warren Wang, chief executive officer of PhotoFast, maker of smart accessories, gadgets and consumer electronics. “We all know the importance of our photos and memories and we can foresee a future where not only iOS/MacOS, but also other systems will adopt the Type C interface.”
